Update #18: Fulfillment Update and More
about 9 years ago – Sat, Mar 04, 2017 at 10:46:07 PM

Dear Backers,

I wish to update all of you on our recent progress in our fulfillment for “Airlines”.

Due to the Chinese New Year holiday (start of February 2017), I had virtually no real progress in the past month.

But I still managed to get some issues worked out. I attended the New York Toy Fair in order to meet with our distributors, meet with Rick, and, most importantly get with our manufacturer. We sat face to face with “Airlines” printer, discussed and resolved all issues regarding the issues and quality of some bits, and agreed to have the entire fixed print run ready 2 weeks from now. This is on track and it will not be long before fulfillment begins in the US.

I also requested more spare parts so I can finally fulfill and replace any defective copies some backers received (in the EU only).

I know that we projected a December fulfillment date, but as time passed, more delays and personal issues prevented us to keep that date. While we’re not happy about it, we are only three months behind, but will soon be able to get this great game into your hands and onto your gaming tables.

GEG is a very small company and every mistake made by our partners, employees (myself included!) or by our manufacturer hurts our business, and we have had some tough times to overcome with those issues you have been writing to us about. Not only you, but our distributors are waiting for Airlines to debut in the US. Just know the distributors will get their orders after you guys receive your copies, so you will not see Airlines on the store shelves before the get put onto yours.

Just know that our budget cannot sustain any more delays and we are determined for you to have the games very, very soon.

At this point, I am just asking for a little more patience and understanding because I am doing all I can to fulfill my promise - a quality game you all paid for in a reasonable time frame.

GEG New Website

As we had issues with communications with our old website and email system, GEG is glad to announce that a new website will be up in 10 days (more or less) and will give you guys better tools and more information on GEG and our games. This was a long, arduous process and I am thrilled with how it is going to look and work. I know you will be, too.

New Games for 2017:

GEG is planning two new games for 2017 - “Anduine - First City in the West” & “Edge of Humanity”. In order to meet our goals and stay in business we must launch our next KS project in the month of March so we can raise enough funds to publish those games. I know that few backers did not like us doing so with our previous projects - but it is a necessity. I hope you can understand and be as supportive as you’ve been with Airlines project.

Last Few Words:

Publishing can be a very harsh business and I have been doing so for the past 6 years. I am very proud of our games and I hope you can relate and appreciate the hard work we put into our games - it’s all for you guys and ladies.

I know and met many of you during conventions and on social media, you have been great support for us, and I appreciate it dearly,

Yours,

Elad

02/01/17 Update
about 9 years ago – Thu, Feb 02, 2017 at 12:24:10 AM

Time for another update.

By now, everyone who messaged Elad should have had a reply from him. If you have not contacted him about missing pieces for Airlines (the European fulfillment), please do so by messaging him. The way to do this is to go to the main Airlines page and click on View Pledge. Then select Messages. From there, write your message. Elad will then get things worked out for you.

Update From The Flight Deck

Here is the latest on what I have regarding US and the rest of the world's fulfillment: Production of the games was completed just before the Chinese New Year break, however, fulfillment wasn't. So, as soon as the CNY festivities are concluded and work resumes, the games will be shipped and the rest of you - I should say, the rest of us - will start receiving the game.

I know this isn't necessarily the optimum news you wanted to hear, but at least we all know that the games are finished and just waiting for shipment. So, starting in a couple of weeks we should start seeing delivery.

That's it for now. As more information comes along, I'll update you.

An Update From Elad
about 9 years ago – Thu, Jan 26, 2017 at 07:13:57 PM

Hi Everyone -

I want to take a moment to address the concerns you have brought up in the posts. First, thank you for bringing these to us, and we’re sorry that things have taken longer than they should have to both be addressed and fixed.

To give you an idea of what has happened in the past couple of months:

The reason information has been slow in coming over the past few months is our person in the United States, Jason, who took care of keeping you up-to-date on GEG Kickstarters and who has done fulfillment for us has been in and out of the hospital since November with some major health issues. He is supposed to come home from the hospital this week (at least, that is what we have been told), so we hope to start getting missing parts and pieces to you fairly soon. I, myself, was affected by the fires in Israel near the end of the year and have had some health issues as well. This was just part of a series of events that has caused us to lose contact with everyone.

We have asked Rick Schrand to come in to help keep you updated on what is happening with your shipments and with your concerns. We recognize that information has been extremely sporadic recently, and want to correct that, so….here he is.

Thanks to everyone for hanging in there.

-Elad-

NOTE FROM RICK: Elad has asked that you PM him here on Kickstarter with your email address and the parts that are broken or missing and he will respond to you and get them sent out immediately.

January Update - Airlines Fulfillment and More!
about 9 years ago – Wed, Jan 25, 2017 at 11:54:06 PM

Dear backers,

I know it has been a while, and I apologize for the long time in between updates. But, it's January, a fresh year with a fresh start, and we have some news to share with you.

Fulfillment: We just finished the first wave of shipments in the EU and we still need to get more stretch goals to our backers, so please be patient. It won't be long before we can get all the great stuff in your hands and onto your game tables.

For the US and the rest of the world - we are still waiting on the shipment. Not really great news, I know, but I promise to update everyone once we get the games in hand and start shipping them.

The future of Airlines: As for now we plan to fulfill your rewards and complete some pre-orders we received for the game. Some retail copies will hit the stores by mid March, but fear not, this will be well after the KS fulfillment has been completed.

Upcoming Projects: As you may know by this point, our goal at GEG is to continue publishing great games for the hobby we all love so much. We decided it was best to postpone our newest project because of the issues with Airlines and because of some personal issues we had to overcome. But in order to have another successful year and meet the goals we have set for ourselves, we are about to push forward. Our next project - "Anduine - First City in the West" - will start at the beginning of February. I have worked on this massive project for 2 years now. It's very close to my heart and I know once you see it and its incredible miniatures you will be as excited about the game as I am.

One final note: We added a new team member to help us with this project. He is a game industry veteran as well as an avid hobbyist who has run a lot of projects in the past. He will definitely help us improve communication and will provide much needed support.

I wish to thank you for your patience and kind support. We could not continue doing this job we love without it.

Yours,

Elad

Airlines update December 2016
over 9 years ago – Tue, Dec 20, 2016 at 10:50:18 PM

Dear backers,

I wish to update you on our progress we made with “Airlines”.

Issues with “Spiel” copies:

As we do every year - we ship via express services a batch of games to Essen (Germany) so we can give to our backers and for few other attendees. This year the games arrived on time but the Deluxe edition (Your KS edition) had some key components missing. We are sorry for the inconvenience - we addressed the issue the following month with our manufacturer.

In the Month of November I spent most of my time fixing the issues and now I can proudly say that we got everything right (took too long).

Fulfillment:

We are starting fulfilment by next week over the EU and the UK as the games intended for those countries arrived to our fulfilment agent. Personal messages will be sent directly with tracking numbers.

The next big stage is the North America, we cannot sadly, meet our December forecast due to the issues we had with production (as I noted above) and due to the fact that we cannot enter any product before the Holiday season.

I tried my best to limit the delays but I am sorry to report that we can only start fulfilment by the end of January 2017 – a full month later than we planned.

Rest of the world – We plan to ship out the rest of the copies in late January as well – sorry!

On a personal note:

The month of November was very intense as I had to deal with personal issues (Illness, new baby and the great fire). I know that some of my FB friends were aware of those issues and gave important support – it was very crucial as I needed any kind word during those hectic weeks.

Indie Publication:

As you all know we are a very small publisher – on each project we have 4-5 guys working and a lot of helping hands. Publishing a great board game and keeping up the schedule is a very hard task – even for a big well funded publisher. We are doing our best to keep up with our fellow publishers and bringing new and exciting games for you guys – the players.

I know that many of you do know or can relate how hard we work to make each game as good as it can be – so I can only ask for your patience and support so we can bring Airlines to your door as quickly as possible.

I wish you all a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah and a great new year,

Yours,

Elad
